The Braås facility is a large and important facility within Volvo CE, employing approx.1,000 people, of whom 200 work in technical development. Our site in Braås is a cornerstone of Volvo CE’s global operations, we have 14 sites in 4 different continents and the site in Braås is known for producing some of the most advanced construction machinery in the world. As a hub for both production and research, Braås leads the way in pioneering automation and electrification solutions that are reshaping the industry. About the role
As the Head of Operations, you will also act as Site Manager with full responsibility for the site’s performance, profitability and development. You will oversee every aspect of production, safety, quality, design, purchasing, sales, logistics, IT, and maintenance. You will need to coordinate all functions on site to drive local initiatives and address common challenges, improving collaboration, and identifying synergies between the different functions, and you will do that by taking a hands-on approach.
Your mission will include completing ongoing transformation projects, driving continuous improvement and embedding lean manufacturing principles across all functions. You will also lead investments in our production lines and the launch of new products, with sustainability and innovation as guiding principles.
To succeed in this role, it is required to balance the needs and expectations of all stakeholders, the employees, customers, owners and society.
You’ll also play a critical part in global strategy discussions, representing Braås and ensuring the site’s objectives align with broader corporate goals. You will report to Senior Vice President-head Of Global Operations and be a part of his global management team for Volvo CE. We expect you to live in the nearby surroundings of Braås.
About you
As people leader, you align your personal values to those of Volvo Construction Equipment. You will help us to guide behaviors, actions, and leadership in all interactions and with all stakeholders whilst maintaining solid knowledge on key financial drivers and parameters, such as cost, profit, cash flow, pay-back.

We expect you to be engaged and committed to meet results and admit mistakes, fix and learn from them. Most importantly, you are able to use them to gain and sustain momentum to develop and execute an integrated site's strategy that delivers cost effective and high-quality products.
In addition to fluency in English the candidate will either speak or show the willingness to learn Swedish.
Ideal experience
- Proven experience in managing operations in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- A strong track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles, driving efficiency, and leading change initiatives.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams in a global organization, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying operational and manufacturing strategies that have yielded measurable financial and non-financial improvements in performance, while maintaining high levels of health and safety, quality, and delivery.
- Perform and Develop Capabilities.
- Long leadership experience with a focus on operations combined with a successful track record of building organizational capabilities and resilient teams and individuals, able to deliver sustainable value through effective operational set-up
- Experience interacting with suppliers, dealers, and customers.
- Have operated with a clear and consistent sustainability focus.
- Is used to navigate in a multicultural, international organization.
Education
A university degree in relevant fields, Engineering or Business Administration.
