About the role
As a Technical Project Manager with us, you will focus exclusively on the international marine business within Kompressorteknik Marine, working closely with colleagues and projects connected to the US operations.
You will have a broad and varied role with both technical and project-oriented responsibility. Your focus is on the marine business, and you will work closely with the General Manager, Sales and the technical team in Miami.
You contribute to the development and execution of our projects – from idea to finished delivery. The work spans everything from the installation of refrigeration systems on cruise ships to technical support, logistics and administration.
The role combines project responsibility with a strong operational involvement in the day-to-day work. You will be engaged in several projects in parallel, often in different phases, which means that the work varies in intensity and focus over time. Alongside the technical and project-related work, the role also includes elements of planning, coordination, documentation and follow-up.
You will be involved in marine projects together with colleagues in Miami, working from your location in Northern Europe, on board ships or at shipyards around the world.
You can be based anywhere in Northern Europe (for example Sweden, Germany or the Netherlands). You will be employed by the Swedish company, Kompressorteknik Industry AB, but work exclusively with the marine business within Kompressorteknik Marine.

The position involves some travel, mainly within the US and Europe, but also to Asia if necessary.
Who are you?
You have a genuine understanding of marine operations, preferably in cooling, electricity, automation and mechanics, as well as experience of rotating machines, compressors, pumps or similar technical areas. You enjoy combining theory and practice – one day close to the technical work, the next working with coordination, project management or analysis.
You are curious, meticulous and have an eye for detail. At the same time, you are a team player who appreciates working together in a small, competent team.
We want you to have
· Education as a mechanical engineer, refrigeration technician or equivalent
· Experience in marine technology, preferably in refrigeration
· Experience of technical projects, preferably in international environments
· Good knowledge of drawing reading
· Ability and drive to work independently and in collaboration
· Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
· Experience in refrigeration systems, marine applications or work in the food or process industry is meritorious
Why Kompressorteknik Marine?
