Seize this opportunity to take on a key position in a rapidly growing business. As System Integrator at Robotics, you will play a vital part in our further development of RobotWare – the software in our robot controller systems.
Operating at our Project & Process office, globally managing the development project portfolios and supporting R&D processes throughout entire ABB Robotics, you will be part of our integration team. We are responsible for the integration of RobotWare and the development environment and infrastructure for all software developers. As System Integrator, you will have a key role in our development process and work closely with project managers, system architects and developers, providing you with great opportunities to further broaden your competence. This position involves working within various areas, with internal as well as external customers. These areas will, among others, be:
On a personal level, you are structured and systematic, and you have a strong interest in configuration management, CM. It is also important that you have the ability to grasp the bigger picture. As foundation, you preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent, along with a few years’ experience from working in this field.
Moreover, you need great programming skills. You are familiar with Visual Studio, Net-development, C#, C and C++. Experience from VxWorks and Windriver Workbench/Eclipse and the Microsoft Team Foundation server for CM is qualifying. Fluency in English is a must, whereas additional languages will be to your advantage.
You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. Our bases are in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden. Over 90% of our production is exported and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies – companies we call our Partners. The unit has 700 employees.
