You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. Robotics develops, manufactures and markets robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. We have bases in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden. Over 90% of our production goes to export and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies – companies we call our Partners.
ABB Robotics is recognized for its software development infrastructure and high level of test automation. Due to the changing and rapidly growing market, our cutting-edge software development organization is now entering an expansive phase.
To keep producing and delivering first class robotics software, we need to excel in software testing. Therefore, we need to reinforce our team with a Software Test Developer.
He or she will play a key role in our test team - taking part in everything from requirement specification, test code development and validation of development projects ranging from automotive, collaborative robots, cloud computing etc.
We have invested heavily in our new generation test framework which is deeply integrated with our robotics software development environment. Research and implementation is ongoing to launch our test execution fully autonomous on a global scale.
The position as Software Test Developer holds an opportunity to influence and develop the architecture and methodology of this.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with specialization in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. This you combine with solid experience from working with software development as a programmer or tester, preferably in an industrial context. Programming skills are required. Experience from real time embedded systems, C#, network and industrial automation such as PLC is qualifying.
Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken alike. On a personal level, you are result-oriented, social and have great interpersonal skills.
