Electronics Design Engineer, ref 103
You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. Robotics develops, manufactures and markets robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. We have bases in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden. Over 90% of our production goes to export and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies – companies we call our Partners.  
Seize this opportunity to take on this senior role at a successful unit operating within the fast-growing robot industry. As Electronics Design Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development and Customization team also responsible for integration of third party electronics. Taking part in the development of our new position measurement system, your main mission will be to manage the electronics design and testing of our robot control system. This will, among other things, involve managing digital and analogue design on circuit board level. FPGA/VHDL code development will also be part of your tasks.  
Taking on this leading position, you will play a central role in the development of next generations’ robot control system and be given the chance to act as specialist within your area of responsibility.  
We are looking for a person with experience of analogue and power electronics design. That said, you preferably hold a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, along with at least five years’ experience from electronics design. Today, you are probably working with similar tasks in an industrial company. Fluency in Swedish and English is a requirement, whereas knowledge in German will be to your advantage. On a personal level, you need to be an analytical problem solver with attention to details. It is also important that you are driven, quality-focused and enjoy great teamwork.
